Absentee Bidding Deadlines Extended

As the weather man is offering a non-committal forecast of severe winter weather (we might get 1″ of snow, or 6″, we might get a 1/4″ of ice, or none), we are offering an extension of our online bidding deadlines for our January 13th auction.

Our standard terms are to close internet bidding registration, and the acceptance of absentee or phone bidding requests, at 7pm, on Friday prior to the Saturday auction.

However, we are conscious that some of our bidders may not be able to attend, depending on the snow, and may not be able to make that decision until Saturday morning.  As such, we’re already planning to extend our bid registration deadline on Invaluable.com (our live, online bidding platform) to 9am on Saturday.

That means that we will continue to review registrations for online bidders until 9am, Saturday. After that time, we will approve other bidders, if time allows. Because of our stringent vetting of internet bidder requests, automated approvals are turned ‘off’ at 9am.

Secondly, we have extended our bid deadline on wickliffauctioneers.hibid.com (our own site, which collects absentee bids only) to 9am, Saturday. This option typically closes at 7pm, on Friday prior to a Saturday auction.

We will also accept absentee bids via our online bidding form (available on our “Contact Us” page), SENT TO OUR OFFICE via email or fax prior to 9am. While we do our best to accommodate late bid requests, we cannot guarantee execution.
